You have a "D" long-stay visa valid as a residence permit (VLS-TS) mentioning "student"
This visa is equivalent to a residence permit and you do not need to apply for a residence permit at the Préfecture when you arrive in France. However, you must validate your visa within the 3 months after your arrival in France on the official website "Administration Étrangers en France" (ANEF).To validate your visa you will need :
- A valid email address
- Your visa
- Your date of entry in France
- Your residential address in France
- Your payment card to pay online the tax for residence permit delivery (or an electronic stamp previously purchased in a "bureau de tabac" or on the dedicated government website.
The visa together with the validation certificate acts as a residence permit.
Warning : If you don't complete this process within the 3 months after your arrival you will be considered as illegal in France and you won't be able to enter the Schengen area again.
